prowtc() - Write CHARACTER Variable
The
prowtc()function writes a character-string value to a sharedCHARACTERvariable.On successful completion,
prowtc()returns 0; otherwise, it returns a non-zero value.Syntax
psymnamThis input parameter points to the name of the specified shared variable. You supply the name from your OpenEdge application.
indexThis input parameter specifies an index value for an array variable. If the variable is not an array, you must set the value of index to 0.
pvarThis input parameter points to a buffer containing the character string value for the specified
CHARACTERvariable. The character string must be null-terminated.unknownIf this input parameter contains the value 1, the Unknown value (
?) is assigned to the variable. If this input parameter contains the value 0, the input value contained in pvar is assigned to the variable.See also
